With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marie “Sandra Syllien” Jure, who departed this life on March 24, 2026.
She was the heart and soul of her daughters—a woman whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love shaped the lives of all who knew her. She was a God-fearing woman, a devoted mother, family-oriented, hardworking, and a loyal friend. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional support, where everyone was welcomed with open arms.
Born in Haiti, she grew up with a deep sense of compassion and resilience that guided her throughout her life. She moved to Brockton, Massachusetts, in 1997, where she built a life centered on love and devotion to her family. She was a valued state employee since 2007, dedicating 19 years of service with commitment and integrity.
She dedicated herself to her daughters above all else, always putting others before herself and offering wisdom, encouragement, and love in abundance.
She found joy in cooking, traveling, luxury spa treatments, shopping, and fine dining. Above all, she cherished being surrounded by her daughters and spending time with them. Her laughter was infectious, her sense of humor and silliness unmatched, her advice invaluable, and her love endless.
Marie “Sandra” is survived by her daughters: Vania, Cassandra, Dieunima, and Daniella; Marie Ginette Balan; her siblings; and many beloved relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory close in their hearts. She was preceded in death by Gabriel Syllien.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in each of her daughters. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest in peace, dear Mommy. Your love will guide us always and give us courage.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 8:30-10:30am with a service to follow at 10:30am at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. Her burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
