Online Obituaries Marie (Cerci) Middleton, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Brockton on Saturday May 3, 2014 following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her devoted family and friends. Born in 1942, Marie was the daughter of the late Annie (Williams) and Frank D. Cerci. Marie graduated from Brockton High School in 1960, and then attended Brockton Beauty Academy. Her love of children brought her to the Downey School, where she enriched youthful lives for many years as a teachers aide. Marie met the love of her life, Richard Dick Middleton and became his partner in life and in business. She was actively involved in Richard Middleton Real Estate focusing on sales and construction. Marie volunteered for many valuable charities and was a member of the 20th Century Catholic Club and the Brockton Country Club. Marie enjoyed traveling and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family. Marie is survived by her beloved husband, partner and best friend, Richard Dick Middleton and children, Darlene (Joseph) Anderson, Nicole (Richard) Pretorius and Craig (Sherrie) Middleton. She also leaves her grandchildren, Nicholas Liolios(fianc Kristen Packard), Joseph and William Anderson, Alysha and Richard Middleton; great granddaughter, Ariyah Middleton; sister and brother in law, Frances and Ralph Grillone, her in laws, Ginny and Frank Middleton and Jane and Tim Parrish; special goddaughter, Cheryl Kelley. She was predeceased by Stacy L. Middleton. Marie will be greatly missed by her loving family and cherished friends. Marie was an amazing women and an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Funeral Information A funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Wednesday, May 7th at 10:30AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. At Marie's request calling hours have been omitted.
