Marilyn "Mal" A. (Johnson) Mihos, 89, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025. She was the wife of the late Theodore L. Mihos.
Born October 16, 1935 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late A. Rudolph Johnson and Karin (Aakre) Johnson. A lifelong Brockton resident, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1953.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Marilyn was a Secretary at Luizzi Shoe in Brockton for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, traveling and going to the movies. She and her husband, Ted, enjoyed many evenings with friends at Christo's Restaurant. Marilyn, fondly known as Yia Yia, especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, John Mihos and his wife Donna Jordan; her grandchildren, Theodore Mihos and his wife Amber, Lynsey Breheny and her husband Garrett, Jonathan Mihos and his wife Samantha, Nickolas Mihos and Tayla Mihos; her great-grandchildren, Caden Mihos, Theodore "TJ" Mihos, Jackson Breheny and Adelyn Breheny; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Abreu. She was the mother of the late Louis Mihos and sister of the late Ann (Johnson) DiBari and Edward Johnson.
Calling hours at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt. 123) Brockton on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00AM-10:30AM followed by a funeral service at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
