Obituary

Marilyn Elaine Tyler (née Ekholm) passed away on February 11, 2023 after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Herbert "Bud" Tyler, along with their two sons David Tyler and Richard Tyler. Marilyn is survived by her grandchildren, Kelsey Tyler of Argentina and Ryan Mulliner of New Hampshire, her siblings Wayne Ekholm of New Hampshire and Natalie Smith of Hudson, MA, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Marilyn was very dedicated to her friends and family- loving nothing more than to spend time with loved ones and never missing their important events. She was blessed with a close-knit group of "club friends", with whom she enjoyed playing cards and eating at Cape Cod Pizza in Brockton. She was especially close with her long-time next door neighbors, Cindy and Bob Sparks, considering them part of her family.

Marilyn was an active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton for many years. She was involved in many charitable organizations in the community, helping with fundraisers and clothing drives for people in need. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1954, and went on to work for Niccoli Oil Bros.

Marilyn is remembered fondly by her family, friends, and community members for her warm, kind demeanor, her easy smile, and her love of life and people.
