Folchi of Brockton December 30, 2002 Mario C. Folchi 88 years. Husband of the late Irene M. (Giovannini) Folchi. Father of Phillip Folchi of West Bridgewater and Kenneth Folchi and his wife Janet of Brockton.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 3-7 pm.

Obituary

Mr. Folchi died Monday morning in the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Brockton son of the late Augustino and Rosina (Meloro) Folchi and remained a lifelong resident.

Mr. Folchi was a retired agent for Boston Mutual Life Insurance where he had worked for 30 years. He was a veteran of WW II and had served in the US Navy in the European and North African Theaters. He was a purple heart recipient.

Mr. Folchi was a life member of the Bertocci Memorial Club and Enterprise Club and also belonged to AARP.He had been a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

He is survived by his two sons; two brothers Julio Folchi of Wareham and Robert Folchi of Brockton, one sister Dorothy Packard of Brockton and many nieces and nephews
