Butts, of Brockton, May 27, 2006, Marion R. (McAuley) Butts, 83 years. Wife of the late William E. Butts. Mother of Joan Faering of Pembroke and Kathleen Smith of Brockton. Grandmother of Deanne DeYoung, Robert and William Rearick, Marianne Leydon and Michael Smith, great grandmother of eight, aunt of Barbara Huntress of Norton, Patsy Flynn of Foxboro, Thomas McAuley of Raynham and the late Frank McAuley, sister in law of Rita McAuley of Raynham and sister of Rita's late husband Frank McAuley.

Marion R. (McAuley) Butts died Saturday at Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Henson) McAuley and had been a resident of Brockton since 1963. She had been employed for 30 years as an Inspector by Poloroid retiring in 1982. Marion loved walking, gardening, cats, especially Buster her cat, special days with her family and Chinese food from Chinatown.

She is survived by two daughters Joan Faering of Pembroke and Kathleen Smith of Brockton, five grandchildren Deanne DeYoung, Robert and William Rearick, Marianne Leydon and Michael Smith, eight great grandchildren, two nieces Barbara Huntress of Norton and Patsy Flynn of Foxboro, a nephew Thomas McAuley of Raynham and a sister in law Rita McAuley of Raynham. She was the wife of the late William E. Butts whom she married August 31, 1940, sister of the late Frank McAuley and aunt of the late Frank McAuley.
