Obituary

Marion R (Sessine) Elias 99, of Brockton died November 18, 2016 in St. Joseph Manor Brockton. She was the wife of the late Kareem “Kay” Najim Elias and daughter to the late Ameen and Sophia (Barker) Sessine. She was raised on the family farm in Bridgewater where she remained until her marriage. Marion moved to Fall River where she raised her family before moving to Brockton 8 years ago.

She worked for over 30 years for the Louis Hand Manufacturing Company in Fall River retiring in 1977. Marion was an active member with St. Anthony of the Desert Church in Fall River participating in the women’s groups and their activities. She loved spending time with her family, making her delicious Arabic meals and attending the activities of her grand, great and great, great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her energy and beautiful style.

Marion was the mother of Gerald Elias of Jupiter, FL, Dorothy Fay of Nashua, NH, Phyllis Rodrigues of Lake Worth, FL and the late Attorney Kenneth Elias of Brockton; her 16 grand, 29 great and 3 great, great grandchildren. Committal prayers at 11:00 on December 2nd in the mausoleum at Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA.
