Obituary

Marion D. (Smith) Fitzpatrick, age 86 of Brockton, died Sunday May 22, 2011. She was the devoted wife of the late James C. Fitzpatrick. Marion was born in Boston and raised in Quincy a daughter of the late Edwin C. and Margaret (Connors) Smith. For the past 46 years she had lived in Brockton and previously resided in Holbrook.
Marion enjoyed travel, bowling, and walks on the beach. She was a terrific cook whose specialty was Congo bars. Marion treasured her time spent with her grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her children Maureen Martes and her husband Christopher of South Easton; Kathleen Richardson and her husband Kennedy of Piedmont, CA; Eileen Strasser and her husband Roy of Stratham, NH and James Fitzpatrick and his wife Carolyn of Charlton, MA. She leaves nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marion was the sister of Margaret Hollister of Brentwood, CA; Walter Smith of Charlestown, RI and the late Frank Smith.
