Martha M. (Stevens) Colombo, 95, of Brockton, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by her family.
Born October 5, 1921, Martha was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Sadie (Maloof) Stevens and was the loving wife of the late Vincent M. Colombo, Jr. for 67 years. A lifelong resident of Brockton, Martha worked in the Brockton school system and was a member of the Lebanon-American National Club and Saint Theresa Maronite Church.
Martha loved dining out, dancing, and traveling with her devoted husband, Vincent, and enjoyed spending time with her many friends, cousins and extended family, and especially treasured her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed many trips to Nantasket Beach, the fall foliageand spending time at home watching sports like the New England Patriots, Red Sox, professional golf and horse racing. She also loved to solve crossword puzzles while watching the nightly game shows.
Martha is survived by her sons, Paul Colombo and his wife Janet of Lakeville, Steven Colombo and his wife Loretta of Medway, Robert Colombo and his wife Donna of Middleboro and Jack Colombo and his wife Cynthia of Brockton; her 10 grandchildren, Gina, Karen, Alicia, Julia, Courtney, Gail, Holly, Vincent, Brianna and Victoria; her 2 great-grandchildren, Meaghan and Mari. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews,cousins, and sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. She was the loving mother of the late Gail Colombo and a sister to the late Victoria Asiaf, Joseph Stevens, Tofie Stevens and Louis Stevens.
Funeral Information
Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday, October 20th at 9:00AM thence to St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, 343 North Main St., Brockton where the Service of the Divine Mysteries will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00PM 8:00PM.
