Obituary

Martha E. (Joyce) (Baker) Davenport, age 84, of Brockton, died peacefully on May 13, 2023 at Good Samaritan Medical Center following a period of failing health. Martha was the wife of the late William Davenport. Born on September 27, 1938 in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Agnes (Doyle) Joyce. During her lifetime, Martha lived in West Bridgewater, Brockton and South Easton.

Martha attended Brockton schools and worked at Components, Inc. Her faith and spending time with family were important to her. She also enjoyed reading and had a love for all animals.

Martha was the mother of Karen Baker and George Baker, grandmother of Michael Baker and sister of the late Clement Joyce, Jr., Edward Joyce and Mary Connolly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Faith and Family Hospice and the staff of West Acres Nursing Home, especially Christine Almquist, for their care of Martha.

Private family services will be held.
