Martha (Tabb) McPherson Martha Marie (Tabb) McPherson, 77, of Brockton died Friday, July 4, 2008 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the former wife of Walter McPherson, Sr. Born February 22, 1931 in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Tabb and Lottie (Ragland) Tabb. Martha has been a Brockton resident since 1967. Martha was a Social Worker and a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years. She was very active in Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Brockton where she served as a Pastor's Aid and helped in the soup kitchen. She is survived by her children, Darlene McPherson, Cynthia Muhammad, Laurell Johnson, Walter McPherson, Jr., Marthell Chance, Aquilla Crosby, Shavell McPherson Rayburn and Rodney McPherson; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was the mother of the late Styrone McPherson. Funeral Information Funeral service will be held in Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 24 Pleasant St., Brockton on Friday at 11:00AM. The Rev. Steven Neville will officiate. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
