Mary M. "Peggy" Capen Mary M. "Peggy" (McGrail) Capen, 70, of Brockton, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at her home in Brockton under the care of her family. Born July 29, 1938 in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. McGrail and Margaret (Leach) McGrail. Raised in Newton, she graduated from Newton High School and then graduated from LaSalle Junior College. Peggy worked for Specialty Catalog Corporation in West Bridgewater for over 20 years. She enjoyed interior decorating, gardening, making doll clothing, and antiquing. She has been a Brockton resident since 1961 and also volunteered for over 20 years at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She is survived by her children, Cassandra "Sandy" Sullivan of Sagamore Beach and her former husband Robert of Plymouth, Deirdre "Didi" Liardo and her husband Richard of Pelham, NH, and Christopher E. Capen of Brockton; she was known as "Gramma Piggy" to her grandchildren, Lindsay Sullivan Lapham, Pamela Sullivan, Bryan Sullivan, Samantha Liardo, and Jarrod Liardo; great grandmother of Collin Lapham. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, June 24th at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish(St Colman Church), 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
