Obituary

Mary E. (Gilmetti) Forsberg, age 95, of Brockton, died peacefully, September 15, 2018 at St. Joseph Manor. Mary was the loving wife of the late Berthel A. Forsberg. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Perry) Gilmetti and brother of John (deceased). Mary was a graduate of St. Patrick School and served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was an avid Bingo player, had been a member of the 20th Century Club and loved to travel throughout the country.

Mary is survived by her two sons Paul of Norfolk and Bertil of Forest Hills, NY; a brother Joseph Gilmetti of Brockton, two sisters Barbara Gilmetti of Waltham and Theresa Millikan of Bridgewater and nieces Marie Whitworth and Diane Smith.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Manor, 215 Thatcher Street, Brockton, Wednesday, September 26 at 10am followed by burial with military honors in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
