Mary Lou Neagle, age 80, of Middleboro, MA and Charlotte, NC, passed away at home on July 10, 2026.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Marguerite (Linn) Neagle.
She worked as an office manager for a Charlotte NC Vascular surgery practice for many years prior to retirement.
Mary lived an adventurous life, one day deciding to sell all her belongings and move to Hawaii for four years. Then off to Santa Barbara and Solvang CA, the “Danish Capital of America”, truly beautiful place to live. Finally settling in Charlotte, back to the east coast to be closer to family. Mary traveled to many places throughout her life one of her favorite places to visit was Japan. Mary loved children and even though she had no children of her own, she was like a mother to many.
Mary is survived by her sister Penny Tartaglia, her brother Peter Neagle, and sister-in-law Patty Neagle. Many nieces and nephews, Diane Tartaglia Kashgagain, Peter Neagle Jr. his wife Anne, Susan Neagle-Levy her husband Steven, Kevin Neagle and his wife Christine, Keri Powers and her husband Ryan and Erin Neagle. Along with her nieces and nephews, she is survived by several great and grandnieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her Carolina family; Ben, Jothie, Teijal and Ariyan Jacoby. Mary was the sister of the late Fredrick Neagle Jr. (Freddy), Linda Noyes and her husband John, and James Neagle (Jimmy), her sister in-law Carol Neagle, brother in-law Charles Tartaglia Sr., her niece Paula Franciosi and Charles (Chucky) Tartaglia Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 9-10 am, with a funeral service beginning at 10 am, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
