Mary F. (Dignan) McDonough
, 87, of Marshfield, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the John Scott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Braintree after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John F. McDonough.
Born November 29, 1919 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. Dignan and Mary A. (Brown) Dignan. She was raised in Boston and graduated from the Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester. She lived in Dorchester and has been a Marshfield resident for the last 25 years.
Mary enjoyed reading. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church while in Marshfield.
She is survived by her sons, John F. McDonough, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Brockton, James M. McDonough and his wife Mary of Dorchester, and Brian J. McDonough and his wife Margaret of Quincy; her grandchildren, Jonathan McDonough, Matthew McDonough, Daniel McDonough, Emily McDonough, Mark McDonough, and Maureen McDonough; her sister, Catherine Tilley of Greenharbor; she is also survived by six great grandchildren. She was also sister of the late Francis Dignan.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte 123 Brockton) on Saturday, Sept. 1st at 9:00AM thence to St. Patrick's Church, 335 Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will be held on Tuesday in the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Friday 4:00PM-8:00PM.
