Obituary

Mary McGowan (Paul) McIntyre, age 89, of Brockton, died peacefully on March 2, 2022 at St. Joseph Manor Health Care. Mary was the wife of the late John McIntyre. Born, raised and educated in Greenock, Scotland, she was the daughter of Daniel and Annie (Rice) Paul.

In 1963, Mary emigrated from Scotland and settled in Brockton with her husband John. For many years, she was employed in the shoe manufacturing industry at Randy Boat Shoe and Stride Rite companies.

She made many life-long friends attending St. Margaret’s Bingo which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Mary was the sister of Myra Picanzo of Lakeville, Esther Brodie of West Bridgewater and the late Daniel, James, Alex, Robert, John, Elizabeth, Jean and Hannah Paul. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, her dear friend Mary-Beth Lucini and her “baby” Jacqueline Pomerleau.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday, March 9 from 10:30am-12:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at noon, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
