Obituary

Mary Ellen Nutting (Walker; Houde), beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, died peacefully at home on April 28, 2025 at the age of 62.

Mary Ellen was a devoted military wife to retired SSG Walter Nutting for 23 years. They shared a lifetime of cherished memories and 5 very spoiled cats, presently Miss and Bob, and the late Doo Doos, Boo Boos, and Tiki.

Mary Ellen is survived by her 3 children, Justin Walker, Gloria Bangs (Walker), and Adrianne Walker, her 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Jean Paul and Gloria Houde, and sister to Denise Reed, Valarie Clancy, Peter Houde, Michael Houde, and the late Greg Houde.

Mary Ellen was a very crafty person who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. She loved her family, her cats, and all things Freddie Mercury. She loved going to concerts with her sisters, Denise and Valerie, and her youngest daughter, Adrianne.

She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123) Brockton, MA. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
