Obituary

Mary P. (Kennedy) Barry, 85 years, of Brockton, wife of the late Patrick J. Barry, died Tuesday morning at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton after a period of failing health.

Born in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Margaret (O’Connor) Kennedy. She lived in Boston most of her life, moved to Taunton for five years and has lived in Brockton for over 20 years. She was a resident of Battles Farm Village and Caffrey Towers. She will be remembered as a devoutly religious lady who never spoke ill of anyone. She loved to help others and enjoyed shopping. She was a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church.

She is survived by three sons, John “Jack” Barry and Kevin Barry both of Whitman and Dennis Barry of Brockton, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and was the mother of the late Maureen Barry.

A funeral mass will be held at 9am, Wednesday, November 20, in St. Colman Church, Brockton, with burial in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
