Parsons of Ayer formerly of Raynham and Brockton, June 13, 2007, Mary R. (O’Brien) Parsons, 83 years. Wife of the late Don Parsons. Mother of Susan Harlan of E. Wareham, Richard Parsons and his wife Prudence of Lunenburg, MA and the late Jeffrey Parsons. Grandmother of Karen and Kevin Harlan and Jessica and Eric Parsons. Sister of Walter “Bud” O’Brien of Halifax and Robert O’Brien of Jacksonville, FL.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 11am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 pm. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 pm. Obituary

Mary R. Parsons, 83 years died Wednesday morning at the Apple Valley Nursing Center in Ayer after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (McLaughlin) O’Brien. She was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1942. She had been a resident of Brockton for over 50 years, lived in Raynham for 23 years and resided in Ayer for the past 7 years. She had been employed at the Brockton Hospital Billing Dept. and retired after 20 years from Good Samaritan Medical Center Medical Records Dept. Mrs. Parsons was a former member of the Pine Hill Estates Association. She enjoyed reading and traveling.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Harlan of E. Wareham and a son, Richard Parsons and his wife Prudence of Lunenburg, MA, 4 grandchildren, Karen and Kevin Harlan and Jessica and Eric Parsons, 2 brothers, Walter “Bud” O’Brien of Halifax and Robert O’Brien of Jacksonville, FL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the wife for 51 years of the late Don Parsons, mother of the late Jeffrey Parsons and sister of the late Joseph, William, Alice and Grace O’Brien
