Mary P. (Durso) Paul Mary P. (Durso) Paul , 80, of Brockton passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at her home under the care of her family and hospice after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick S. Paul. Born January 27, 1931 in Brockton she was a daughter of the late Nicola Durso and Constantine (Uricuole) Durso. Mary was a lifelong resident of Brockton where she was extremely proud of her Italian heritage. She graduated from Brockton High School Class of 1948. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Margaret's Church. Mary worked for the City of Brockton School Lunch Program for 35 years and retired from the Davis School. She was active with the Brockton Council on Aging and was appointed to its Board of Directors serving as its Treasurer. She was also appointed by the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office to be a liaison for senior citizens. Mary was an avid Brockton Boxers fan and loved the New England Patriots. She was the beloved mother of Gregory Paul and his wife Arlene of Bridgewater, Valerie Paul of Branford, CT., and Terri Elliot of Sagamore Beach. She will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her many longtime wonderful friends. She is also survived by her brother Michael Durso of Brockton; her sisters, Treasa Thomas of Falmouth and Blanche Taylor of Oregon. She was the sister of the late Joanne "Phyllis" Dotten. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Wednesday 5:00-8:00PM.
