Principe of Brockton, December 3, 2002, Mary E. (Vass) Principe , 86 years. Wife of Michael Principe (BFD ret). Mother of Paul M. of Watkinsville, GA and Betty Smith of Herndon, VA. Grandmother of Nathan and Andy Smith.

Funeral Mass Thursday at 9 am in St. Colman Church. Private committal service at a later date. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8 pm at the J. Obituary

Mrs. Principe died in her home Tuesday morning following a short illness. Born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Mary E. (Flood) Vass. She had been a life long resident of Brockton. Graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1934. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a bookkeeper for many years by the former Dunnington Pharmacy. Her hobbies were sewing, dressmaking and reading. She was a communicant of St. Colman Church.

She is survived by her husband Michael Principe, a son Paul M. Principe of Watkinsville, GA. and a daughter Betty Smith of Herndon, VA., 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A brother William Vass of Wareham, 2 sisters Virginia Mahon of Cataumet and Louise Ramondetta of Mashpee. She was a sister of the late Russell Vass
