Obituary

Mary A. (Wallace) Witis, 97 years, died Monday December 10, 2007 at Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Virginia, MN, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Ulevich) Wallace. Mary moved to Needham with her family at a young age where she was raised and educated. She was a graduate of Needham High School and also graduated from Secretarial school. For many years she had been employed at the Bean Pot Bakery in Brockton. She enjoyed sewing crafts, decorating eggs and traveled to many dog shows with her daughter Margaret.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret M. Witis of Brockton and two brothers Anthony G. Wallace, Jr. and Vincent Wallace both of Needham. She was the wife of the late Tony Witis and sister of the late Peter, Walter and Joseph Wallace and Lillian Wilczewski.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham, at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s name may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th St. Brookline, MA 02445-7226 Att: Contribution Services.
