Maryann (O'Connell) (Nieves) Goncalves Maryann (O'Connell) (Nieves) Goncalves , 65, of Brockton died Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Manuel Goncalves. Born January 26, 1944 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Harold O'Connell and Mary (Russell) O'Connell. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School. Mrs. Goncalves was a homemaker devoted to her family and home. She enjoyed word search games and going to the casino. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Goncalves; her children, Kathleen Gidley and Robert Gidley both of Middleboro; her grandchildren, Brenda, Banet, Bianca, Bonifacio, Jr., Bryan, Braulio, DeJesus, David, and Kelcie; she is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and her close friend Jeannie. She was the sister of the late Harold O'Connell.
