Matthew F. Williams Matthew F. Williams , 66, of Brockton, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Jerilyn F. "Jeri" (Thayer) Williams. Born April 29, 1946 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Matthew A. Williams and Marguerite G. (Flynn) Williams. Matthew was a graduate of Brockton High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt. He is survived by his children, Craig A. Williams and his wife Pamela of Taunton and Shannon R. Boomer and her husband Joseph of Bridgewater; grandchild, Cameron Williams; siblings, Janet Stone, Joanne Brides and Judy Piers; As well as several nieces and nephews.
