Maureen "Moe" Asker age 80 of Brockton and Sandwich passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen was born and raised in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High in 1962. After High School she attended the Shepard-Gill School of Practical Nursing and received her LPN.

She started her nursing career in Anchorage Alaska. She then went on to work at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton, Brockton Visiting Nurses and BAMSI.

Maureen is pre-deceased by her parents, Rena and Joseph Malloy of Brockton, her sister Veronica Mooney and nephew Kendrick Mooney of Sandwich.

She was the loving wife of 53 years to Stanley Asker of Brockton.

A devoted aunt to Kimberly, Kendal, and Rena Mooney of Sandwich.

Maureen was also the family Matriarch of the multi-generational "Bonney" cousin clan.

Moe enjoyed camping, cooking, reading, bird watching {especially her Humming Birds),and spending time in her Sandwich home.

Maureen especially loved hosting her annual Forth of July bash and was well known for her pumpkin bread, her chicken and broccoli casserole and her famous, mouth watering Chocolate Pillows at Christmas.

Maureen will be remembered for her laughter, wit, and no nonsense way of looking at life.

However, she will mostly be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she gave to her family, friends and all who were lucky enough to cross her path.

Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Wednesday, April 16th from 10:00AM-11:30AM followed by a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home at 11:30AM. In Urnment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
