Reid of Bourne, formerly of Brockton, May 27, 2004, Maureen F. “Aunty Moe” (McCluskey) Reid, 62 years. Devoted mother of Jay T. Reid and his fiancee Christine Bexley both of Quincy. Loving sister of Thomas J. McCluskey, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FL and the late Margaret Ann Nisby. Aunt of Jodi (Nisby) Smith of Bridgewater, Janelle McCluskey of So. Boston and Margaret “Peggy” McCluskey of Brockton. Great aunt of Ryan Smith.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to Sisters of Divine Providence Sacred Heart School, 363 Bishops Highway, Kingston, MA 02364.

Obituary

Mrs. Reid died Thursday morning at the Quincy Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mildred (Grimes) McCluskey. She had been a resident of Bourne since 1992, previously lived in Wareham after moving from Brockton. Graduate of Brockton High School and she also received an associate’s degree from Chandler Junior College. Before her retirement she had been and office manager for several physicians including Dr. David Marcello in Brockton. In her retirement she was a part-time bookkeeper at Sacred Heart School in Kingston. She enjoyed cake decorating for friends and family and she loved to socialize with family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Jay T. Reid and his fiancée Christine Bexley both of Quincy, a brother, Thomas J. McCluskey, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FL, three nieces, Jodi (Nisby) Smith of Bridgewater, Janelle McCluskey of So. Boston and Margaret “Peggy” McCluskey of Brockton and a great nephew Ryan Smith.and several cousins.
