Obituary

Max Bastien, of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. He was the esteemed husband of Marie J. Antoine. Born on December 12, 1939, in Cerca-La-Source, Haiti, he was the son of the late Marceau Bastien and Conceptia Apollon. His aspirations led him to a life of public service as a Haitian congressman and an ESL teacher. At 79 years old, Max is survived by his children; Natascha Bastien, Rose V. Goncalves, Max E. Bastien, Bettina C. Bastien and stepchildren.Grandfather to Kevin, Edwina, Wesley, Christopher, Rayshauwn, Elina, and Louis Alexander. In addition, he is loved by many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren. As a distinct intellectual, he instilled a sense of wonder in the minds of the many he mentored. A viewing will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Brockton Assembly of God, 199 Warren Ave. Brockton, MA from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The funeral services will commence promptly at 10:00 AM.
