Born March 23, 1920 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Antonio DaSilva and Maria DePina. She is survived by her children, Joana DePina, Augustinho DePina and Casimiro Depina Souto Gonsalves; she is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
