Michael K. Brace, Sr., 53, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 13, 2012. He was the loving husband of Christine (Cook) LeMay-Brace.
Born on November 23, 1958 to the late Gladys (McKeown) Council. He was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and most of all a friend to all. Mike was raised and attended school in Brockton.
After serving his country in the army he returned home to Brockton and was employed at Save-a-Lot for the past 18 years as a grocery stocker. Affectionately known as "Bampa" to his many grandchildren, he was the first one to raise someone's spirits and make them laugh when they were down. He loved country music and earned the nickname of "Farmer Jack", for his love of yard work.
While at home he could be found with his cat midnight by his side. Then whenever he was out he was spending time with the family he loved so much.
Besides his loving wife Tina he leaves to cherish his memories his children Kendra (Riley) Gould, Michael K. Brace Jr., Marie A. (Brace) Nelson, Naomi (Brace) Caples, Shannon (LeMay) Sugaiski, Jessica (LeMay) Bourgeois, Lea (LeMay) Cassidy, Melissa LeMay, Stacy LeMay, and his many grandchildren. His sisters Faith E.R. (Brace) Merideth, Kim M. (Brace) Bradbury, Ronda L. (Council) Godley, and Nadine A. Council. Many nieces and nephews and a host of many other family and friends. He was also the brother of the late D'Wayne D. Brace.
"Sleep on Mike and get your rest, for we loved you dearly, but God loves you best."
