Obituary

Michael Grushkin, of Brockton, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 after a short illness at the age of 80. Michael was born in Boston to the late Albert and Minnie Grushkin. Notably, he was born on the same date as Beatle John Lennon - October 9, 1940. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Ross) for 54 years and the late Pauline (Lenares); loving father of Donald Grushkin, Michelle and Steven Golb, Paul and Michelle Grushkin and Mark Grushkin, and his furry feline companion the late Lady Jane Grey; devoted grandfather to Gavin Grushkin, Shelley Grushkin, Jordan Golb and his girlfriend Megan O'Neil Thurston, Jaron and Cynthia Golb, Jaimin Golb, Michael and Stacey Grushkin, Rose and Zack Smith, Tiffany Goodman, Crystal Grushkin, John Grushkin, Alyssa Grushkin, Leah Goodman, Andrew Grushkin, and Nicholas Grushkin; dear brother of the late Martin Grushkin, Betty Landa and Naomi Jacobs Anderson. Michael spent many years working in the auto and industrial sales fields, retiring from Sears Roebuck and the Brockton Parking Authority. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, having traveled all over the country with his wife and many motorcycle friends. He was also a long time member of the Baalis Sanford Lodge A.F. & A.M. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th at 11:00AM in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton; friends and family are invited to attend.
