Obituary

Michael J. Lenane, age 54, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, June 9, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Thomas and Barbara (Snow) Lenane. Michael was raised and educated in Dorchester, and had been a longtime resident of Brockton. He was a member of the IATSE Local #11 Union for 24 years, and worked at many venues in the area, mainly the Orpheum Theatre. He was an avid fan of the Batman Club and Bruins and also enjoyed cooking.

Michael is survived by a daughter Elyse K. Soberanis and her husband Jorge of NY, two grandchildren Aiden and Khloe; two sisters Catherine Willey and Barbara Doherty and her husband Jay all of Brockton; longtime companion Michelle “Mimi” Ring of Melrose, and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Thomas and Kevin Lenane.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm with a funeral service to be held at 7:30pm. Please consider donations in Michael’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
