Michael J. Llanes, 27, of West Bridgewater, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston unexpectedly after a sudden illness. He was the husband of Amanda J. (Leitao) Llanes and father of Luca J. Llanes. Born March 2, 1991, in Brockton, MA, he was a son of Joseph A. Llanes and Debora A. (Feeney) Llanes. Mike was raised in West Bridgewater, and was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School. He attended Framingham University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Mike was awarded many track and field records during his time at West Bridgewater High School. He was an avid fisherman. Mike also enjoyed photography and cooking. Most of all he enjoyed his time with his son Luca and the rest of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Amanda J. (Leitao) Llanes; his son, Luca J. Llanes; his parents, Joseph A. Llanes and Debora A. (Feeney) Llanes; his grandmother's Mary Feeney and Edna Llanes; his siblings, Matthew Llanes and his wife Elizabeth, Christopher Llanes and his wife Crista and Joseph Llanes. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. He was the grandson of the late Jose Llanes and Paul Feeney. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., West Bridgewater on Friday, March 1st at 9:00AM thence to St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:00AM. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
