Online Obituaries Michael E. Madonna, age 60, of Pine Island, Fla., formerly of Brockton, passed away on Nov. 7 after a lingering illness. A Cape Cod summer resident, Mike was a graduate of Brockton High School, and proudly served a four year enlistment in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service, he worked as a firefighter in Maine, a realtor in Massachusetts and a maintenance specialist for the National Park Service in both Cape Cod and the Carolinas. Like his father, he was an enthusiastic 'house flipper,' master craftsman and handyman who, from his father, learned how to fix anything. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his earlier years. Mike was clean and sober for over 10 years. On numerous occasions, he enjoyed growing his hair long only to have it professionally cut off to be donated to 'locks of love,' a charity that assists cancer victims suffering hair loss. Preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Irene Madonna, he is survived by his sister Janet and her husband Alan Raphel of Endicott, N.Y.; his sister Jeanne and her husband Jack White of Brockton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
