Michael J. Reed

Michael J. Reed, age 73, of South Easton, passed away on May 1, 2026, at Boston Medical Center – South in Brockton. He was the husband of Elaine L. (Columbare) Reed.

Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late John W. Reed, Jr and Mary Clara (Paiva) Reed.

He earned an associate degree from Massasoit Community College and attended Stonehill College.

Michael worked as a professional window cleaner in Boston at the Prudential Center for Sunset Cleaning Company.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, intelligence, and his compassion. Michael was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed fishing and watching Sci-Fi movies.

Besides his wife Elaine, he leaves his daughters Michelle Reed and her partner Scott Whidden of Danvers, Shannon Bromm and her husband John Bromm of Danvers, Megan Heath of Lakeville, and stepdaughter Heather Macdonald of Old Orchard Beach, ME; and his grandchildren Bailey Reed of Danvers, Logan Heath of Lakeville, Reagan Heath of Lakeville, Aidan Bromm of Danvers, and Gabrielle Berberick of Fryeburg, ME.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 11am-12pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton.
