Obituary

Michael W. Spillane, age 74, of Brockton, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Good Samaritan Medical Center following a period of declining health. Born in Brockton to Miriam (McCarthy) and the late Michael J. Spillane on October 9, 1943, he was a lifelong resident of the city.

Following graduation from Brockton High School, Mike served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, a period of his life for which he was especially proud.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Mona Testa of Brockton and Michelle Spillane of Abington and four grandchildren, Jillian, Anna, Nicholas and Madison and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Mona Zander of Carmel, CA, Mark Spillane of Norton and Geoffrey Spillane of Mashpee.

At the request of the family, private services will be held at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
