Online Obituaries Michael S. Welch, 40, of Brockton, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 in Brockton. Born January 18, 1976 in Brockton, he was the beloved son of Rosemary (DiMaddalena)(Welch) Tessier and her husband Donald Tessier of Brockton. A lifelong Brockton resident, he attended Brockton Schools. He received his electrical training from the Porter & Chester Institute and was a truck driver for the former Columbia Electric. He served as an altar boy at the former St. Casimir Church in Brockton. He was an avid New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders fan. He also enjoyed playing baseball for South Little League, South Junior high school, Pony Colt League and church sports. He is also survived by his son, Brennan M. Welch and the mother of their son, Jaclyn A. Nugent; his grandmothers, Anna (Rubicine) DiMaddalena and Trudy Tessier, Uncles and aunts, Joseph DiMaddalena and his wife Theresa, Joseph and Toni DaSilva and Kate Rubicine. He is also survived by several other aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends and his dog PJ. He was the grandson of the late Sanefe DiMaddalena and Donald Tessier Sr., and nephew of the late Robert Rubicine. Funeral Information A funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul in Christ The King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton on Monday, February 8th at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00-5:00PM.
