Milagros Cana Ramos, 59, of New Bedford, longtime resident of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospital in New Bedford.
Born December 20, 1958 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Eneida Cartagena and the late Luis Alberto Casiano. She came to Brockton with her family in 1973. Right away she became a familiar person in Brockton and made friends very quickly. All who knew her loved her very dearly. Although she had many struggles throughout her years, she was a person who would make you laugh with all her crazy antics. She was a loving women who would help anyone in need. There was not a room in her house that was not filled with teddy bears and baby dolls. Her greatest joy was her family especially her children and grandchildren. She loved music, puzzles, bingo, arts and crafts.
She is survived by her three children, Millie Ramos, Daniel Ramos and Samuel Ramos.
Her grandchildren, James Thomas, Julieanna Ramos, Samuel Ramos JR, Jaiden Ramos, Julliana Ramos, Julian Ramos and Brayden Ramos.
She was the sister of the late Luis Papo Casiano. She is survived by her sisters Carmen Ortiz, Zaida Cartagena, Rosa Cartagena, Yolanda Cartagena, Maribel Cartagena and Luz Nunez. Her brothers Jose Cartagena, Manuel Cartagena and David Cartagena. She had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her and will always hold a special place in their hearts for their titi Cana.
