Mildred I. (Humble) Butler, 98, of Brockton, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at the BayPointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late John F. Butler.
Born January 15, 1917 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Humble and Alice (Gould) Humble. Raised in East Bridgewater, she graduated from East Bridgewater High School.
Mildred worked as a Seamstress for many years. She enjoyed bingo, music, walking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sheila A. Thomas and her husband George of East Bridgewater, Carol J. Mandeville of Brockton, John F. Butler, Jr. and his wife Janet of Bridgewater and Lynne M. Jamoulis and her husband James of Fairhaven; her grandchildren, George Thomas, Jr., Sherrie Rioux, Debra Thomas, Michael Thomas, Paul John Mandeville, Kerry Mandeville, Kellie Murphy, Shawn Butler, Jonathan Jamoulis and Jeremy Jamoulis; she is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stanley Humble, Ruth Ducharme, Louise Cox, Gladys Spillane and Velma Bruner and she was the mother-in-law of the late Paul Mandeville.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Saturday, February 28th at 9:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home Friday 3:00-7:00PM.
