Mildred (Murphy) Claytor Mildred M. (Murphy) Claytor, of Brockton, died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Claytor. Born and raised in Ridgeway, South Carolina, she was a longtime resident of Dorchester. Mrs. Claytor graduated from Mather Academy in South Carolina and attended Nursing School while working at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mrs. Claytor was a devoted wife and mother. She loved sports, especially baseball and enjoyed spending her recent years watching her grandchildren play soccer and basketball. She is survived by her sons, Richard Claytor, Jr. of Brockton and Archie Wiggins Claytor of Boston; her brothers and sister, Roland Murphy of San Antonio, Texas, Benjamin Murphy of Temecula, California, Charlye Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Richard,III., Ryan, Archie, Kimberly, and Nicholas. Funeral Information A Memorial Service is planned for May 25, 2009 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston.
