Mildred H. (Stevens) Lewis Mildred H. (Stevens) Lewis , 85, of Hanson, passed this life on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Champion Rehabilitation and Health Center, Brockton after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was the wife of the late Fred Lewis. Mrs. Lewis was born in Rollingdam, Canada on November 15, 1925 to the late John and Alice (Smith) Stevens. Mildred lived in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, and moved to the U.S.A. in her early twenties. Mrs. Lewis worked at Ocean Spray Cranberry in Hanson, Brae Burn Nursing Home in Whitman and Plymouth County Hospital in Hanson. Mrs. Lewis in her later years worked as an Aide for Hanson Senior Center. Mildred leaves her three sons, Howard, Philip and Victor; her three daughters, Barbara, Frances and Holly; her two daughter-in-laws, Debbie and Jean; her one son-in-law, Danny; her fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grand children; her two sisters-in- laws, Sylvia Young of Whitman and Shirley Stevens of St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held in the United Church of the First Born, 715 Monponsett St., Hanson, MA 02341 on Saturday, May 7th at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson. Calling hours Saturday from 9:00am-11:00am in the church.
