Miriam Louise Collymore ~ Sunrise May 10, 1913 ~ Sunset December 3, 2007 Miriam Louise Collymore, 94 of Brockton, formerly of Barbados, West Indies died Monday, December 3, 2007 at her home in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James E. Collymore. Born May 10, 1913 in St. George Barbados she was the daughter of Fitz H. Gibbons and Augusta (Blackett) Gibbons. Miriam came to the United States in 1972 to live with her two daughters, Yvett and Judy. Miriam Has been a Brockton resident since 1978 and worked for Medical Resource Company in Newton for many years. Miriam is survived by her children,Yvett Y. Debnam of Franklin, Judy E. Collymore of Brockton, and Velda Gibbons of Randolph; her son-in-law,Elijah Debnam of Franklin; her grandchildren, Victor Gibbons and Wendy Thompson of Brockton; Clyde Gibbons of Florida, Marva Word of Georgia, Vernon Gibbons of Connecticut, Donna Ward of Randolph; Brian and Jason Collymore of Brockton; her great grandchildren,Shellyann Debnam, Damian Gibbons, Ian Collymore, Bryce Collymore, and Jayson Collymore, Shakena Baker, and many others. She is also survived by the Gibbons and Blackett Families of Barbados and her close friends,Jackie Eversley of Randolph and Tameshia Watson of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Eileen Breedy, Clarice Gibbons, and Oswald Gibbons. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Central United Methodist Church, 65 West Elm St., Brockton on Saturday from 2:00-3:30PM followed by a funeral service at 3:30PM. Private cremation will follow.
