Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11 am. Burial in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation Thursday 10-11am.

Obituary

Muriel L. (Turner) McGowan 82 years of Brockton died Monday morning at West Acres Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Harland L. and Geneva D. (Ross) Turner. She had lived most of her life in Brockton with the exception of several years in Halifax.
Mrs. McGowan was primarily a homemaker who stayed home to raise her large family. For a short time she had worked at Alden Products in Brockton.
Mrs. McGowan loved bingo and watching television especially soap operas and on Sundays Robert Schuller and Joel Osteen. She also enjoyed Sunday rides to Brant Rock and watching the boats come in.
She is survived by her seven loving children Thomas Damon of Brockton; Wayne McGowan of Lewiston, Maine; Bruce McGowan of Brockton with whom she made her home; Louise Damon of Brockton; Linda Damon of Port Richey, Florida; Pamela Johnson of Bristol, Rhode Island and Ricky Davis of Marshfield. Fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren
She was half sister of Millie Turner, Harland “Junior” Turner of Moon Lake, FL and Rita Turner of Wareham
