IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Myles Jonathan
Smith
January 1, 1919 – December 25, 2024
Myles Jonathan Smith, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at the Signature Health Care in Brockton.
Myles was welcomed into the world on Monday, February 13th, 1989, at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was the youngest son of Jimmy Lee Jones, originally from Greenwood, Mississippi, and the second oldest son of Michele J. Smith, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout his early years, Myles found joy in playing with friends in his neighborhood and creating lasting memories with his family. He loved riding Bikes and visiting the Boys and Girls Club to shoot some hoops. Swimming brought him happiness too, whether it was at a local pool or at Houghton's Pond, laughing and splashing around with his cousins.
As a young adolescent, Myles cherished the time spent at his grandparents' home, where he eagerly offered a helping hand, enjoyed playing Sega with his cousins, and embraced the simple joys of childhood. He attended The Oscar F. Raymond School and West Junior High in Brockton, Massachusetts, where he carried his kind spirit with him.
Myles was a true gentleman—thoughtful, compassionate, and always ready to lend a hand or share what he had with others. He had a strong heart that was willing to give, whether it was his clothes to others or nourishment to those in need. He was a man of courage who lived a life of fulfillment right up until his final earthly moments, and his energetic and unwavering passion will never be forgotten.
He is lovingly remembered and survived by his mother, Michele J. Smith; his older brother, Marcel J. Smith; his youngest sister, Mariah J. Smith; his second oldest brother, Isaac "Cookie" Jones; his oldest sister, Patricia Jones; his third oldest brother, Corey Jones; and his second oldest sister, Felicia Jones. Additionally, he leaves behind a multitude of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
A memorial gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Thursday, February 13th from 12:00-2:00 PM.
