Nancy M. (O'Connor) Oriola, age 70, died November 20 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.

She was the daughter of the late William and Rosemary (Buckley/Jones) O'Connor. Born and raised in Brockton, Nancy graduated from Brockton High School in 1971. A lifelong hard worker, she retired in 2017 from Brockton Public Schools, where she was the guidance administrative assistant at South Middle School.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alexander, son Shawn, daughter Shannon Boulanger, and grandchildren Liam and Mollie Boulanger. She was the sister of Robert (Pam) and Donald (Susan) Jones, and the late Richard (Betty) Jones. She also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins, an extended family with members too numerous to count, and close friends, who she considered part of her family.

Nancy gave her time and talents to the St. Edward's and Cardinal Spellman High School communities. She had a passion for creating videos to commemorate loved ones' special occasions, spending countless hours editing them until they were perfect. She loved animals, especially the many pets through the years who were lucky enough to live in her home. She loved music and family gatherings, and most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She will leave behind a legacy of being fiercely loyal to her loved ones, and her loss will be profound.
