Obituary

Nancy Starr 78 of Bronx, NY died Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Montefiore Medical Center in NY after a brief illness. She was born in Brockton and was a 1950 graduate of Brockton High School. After graduation, Nancy went on to pursue a lifelong career at the Union Bank of Switzerland in New York City until her retirement. Nancy loved animals and spent many years enjoying her dog “Maggie”. Nancy was an excellent seamstress and created lavish outfits for family and friends throughout her lifetime. She was the sole caretaker of her mother, Helen (Donovan) Starr until her death in 1996.
Nancy was predeceased by her father Charles F. Starr, Sr. and her brothers Richard H. Starr and Charles F. Starr, Jr. She leaves a sister Barbara Catandella of New York and eight nieces and nephews throughout New England.
A graveside service will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton, MA.
