It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of our beloved Natalio Rosa. On October 20, 2020 at the age of 87, he passed away surrounded by his loving family in his Taunton home. He was affectionately known as "Pai" or "Donu" by his children and grandchildren and "Vital" by his family and friends.
In 1977 he migrated to the United States, where he settled in Boston for quite some time and moved to Brockton, where his family created so many beautiful and unforgettable memories on Track Street. Until today, they refer to those days as the "Track Street Days".
Natalio is survived by his loving wife Eugene Rosa, who had been together for 65 years. Together they built an inseparable bond - admired by many. The affection they shared never went unnoticed. Whether it was a kiss, a hug, or a joke, they were two hearts that can never be divided.
Born in Fogo, Cabo Verde, he was the son of Palmira Pires and Roberto Soares Rosa.
Followed by 2 deceased siblings, Francisa Lopes and Maria Luisa Andrade.
Natalio is also survived by his 9 children Candida Rosa, Fernando Rosa, Joana Ribeiro, Filo Soares, Palmira Rodrigues, Maria Mendes, Helena Veiga, Islido Rosa, and Jocie Rodrigues and 1 deceased Roberto Rosa.
He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren Victor Rosa, Yolanda Rosa, Jessica Monteiro, Jesse Rosa, Vicki Ribeiro, Ashley Alves, Kevin Rodrigues, Shanika Gomez, Devin Rodrigues, Nakia Rodrigues, Ricardo Mendes, Jasmine Rosa, Angelica Mendes, Jania Rodrigues, Sueraya Mendes, Ludiana Rosa, Soraia Rosa, Liziana Rosa, Jessica Veiga, and Daniel Veiga.
As well as 18 Great -Grandchildren Alana Minden, Janyla Monteiro, Jaylen Rosa, Azalea DePina, Jayce Rosa, Gigi Minden, Nevaeh Rodriguez, Jayda Monteiro, Jaiden Gomez, Ayzel DePina, Aniyah Gomez, Kyree Isaac Isacc, Elayna Gomez, Nova Gomes, Lais Pereira, Thales Pereira, Jasmyn Silveira, and Alana Andrade.
Natalio was a man of great faith who lived by religious principles. As a true prayer warrior, even when he felt ill, he found the energy to make it to church. He constantly prayed for the safety and health of his family. He was a man of great strength, compassion, wisdom and faith. A kind hearted individual with a gentle soul. He deeply loved his family and made sure to instill the value upon us. He had an infectious smile that would brighten any room, especially when he saw his grandchildren. In his eyes his grandchildren were the world and he carried a special bond with each one of them. Family gatherings were where he was the happiest. Many unforgettable memories were created.
He was a handsome man who took pride in his appearance and was a sharp dresser. He always loved spraying himself with his favorite cologne and carried a comb in his pocket to make sure his hair was at his best. You can always pick him out in a room by his hats, especially his favorite gray one "Mr Fix It' hat. He loved to listen to his old school Cape Verdean music and dance away. Whenever he was nowhere to be found, we always knew he was at the closest store buying scratch tickets.
Although he is not with us, he will forever live within us, as many memories stay behind. He will always be engraved in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace. The King of the Rosa family!
