On Friday, May 8, 2020, Nelita Monteiro, 35, passed away unexpectedly while at home.
Nelita was born on January 1, 1985 to Antonio and Maria "Fatima" Monteiro. Nelita grew up in Brockton and worked in the healthcare field.
Nelita's sudden passing is truly devastating to her entire family, but especially for her four young children whom she loved very much. Nelita was an amazing mother and would do anything to make her kids happy. Having two sets of twins was not easy, but Nelita absolutely enjoyed every minute of motherhood- her kids were her pride and joy.
Nelita was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She could brighten up any room. Her sense of humor and ability to stay true to herself are just a few of the many things that people loved and admired about her. She was beautiful on the inside and out. She loved music, fashion and spending time with her family. In fact, if you were around Nelita you were in for a treat because she'd make you smile, laugh and dance! Nelita was so much fun to be around.
Nelita is survived by her children, Jorge, Jr., Neilani, Mason and Madison; her parents, Antonio and Maria "Fatima" Monteiro; her grandmothers, Alzira Andrade and Vitalyna Fernandes; her siblings, Michael Monteiro and Maria (Neuza) Monteiro; her nieces, Taija Monteiro and Amari Dias; her nephew, Dior Lobo; her great-nephew, Levi Lynch; as well as a large and loving extended family that includes many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
