Obituary

Nellie S. (Kelley) Florio, 93 years, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died December 3, 2010, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital following a brief illness. Nellie was the devoted wife for 68 years of the late Pasquale “Pat” Florio. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Tamasunis) Kelley. Prior to starting her family, she had been employed for several years at local shoe manufacturing companies in Brockton. Nellie was devoted to her husband and family; loved to decorate and shop and was known for her great sense of style.

Nellie is survived by her children Barbara Almeida of Bridgewater and Robert Florio and his wife Melanie of Bourne; two grandchildren Ronald Almeida and his wife Lisa and Keith Almeida and his wife Carrie; three great grandchildren Alyssa, Courtney and Cassidy and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frances Ciardelli, Jennie Burke, Alice Chuckran and John Kelley.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 4-7pm.
