Nicholas Eugene Sylvester, 34, of Taunton passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Born in Brockton on June 15, 1985, he was the son of Eugene F. and Stella M. (Getchell) Sylvester. Nicholas grew up in Whitman and was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, class of 2002. Nicholas enjoyed playing guitar and writing music and was in multiple bands over the years that included both family and friends. he also enjoyed spending time with his beloved daughter Abigail. He loved traveling to Wells Beach in summer with her to share his childhood memories. He also enjoyed spending time watching movies, playing video games with Abby. Mostly his favorite thing was to give her everything she needed and make sure she was happy. Nick was known to always have a smile on his face. He was the life of the party & "Family" meant everything to him. He enjoyed spending time with them either at cookouts, the beach or by the fireside. Nick helped any and all who needed it, at any time or cost. He had a great work ethic from helping run the family diner at a young age, to working construction the most recent years. Nick will be loved and greatly missed by everyone that met him Nicholas is survived by his parents, Eugene F. and Stella M. (Getchell) Sylvester; his daughter, Abigail M. Sylvester; his brother, Tony Sylvester; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late June and Floyd Getchell and Blanche and Eugene Sylvester. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
