Nikolaos G. Targontsidis, 85, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Eleni Helen (Antonakopoulou) Targontsidis.
Born December 8, 1930 in Grosna, Russia he was a son of the late Giorgios and Sofia (Marapidou) Targontsidis. Raised in Russia, Nick immigrated to Greece in 1940 and then later came to the United States where he made Brockton his home city in the early 1970s.
He worked for Columbia Tanning Company in Brockton for many years. Nick enjoyed his own home improvements and was an avid gardener. He and his wife are members of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton.
In addition to his wife Helen, Nick is survived by his children, George Targontsidis, Sonia Targontsidis-Jain and her husband Ravi Jain, and Arthur Targontsidis; his grandchildren, Penelope, Artemis and Nickolas Jain; his siblings Olga, Elisabeth and Eleni all of Greece. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, December 8th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
